Our Savage tapered recoil lugs will improve stability providing extra thickness for increased action strength while removing the need to eye-ball during installation. In the case of a switch barrel rifle the larger bedding surface matches the tight tolerances of the glass bedded recoil lug area, helping to reduce recoil flex over the larger surface area.
