Bolt Raceway Reamer/Mandrel (HSS)

The Bolt Raceway Reamer is used to cut the bolt raceway to accurate straightness and consistent diameter. Requires two .5000" ID pilot bushings (sold separately). Select the largest pilot bushings that will enter your existing raceway. Insert tool from front end of receiver. Begin your cut with one bushing on each side of the ejection port. As material is removed, the bushings push out of the raceway and the tool "self-pilots" on its major diameter.

Once the bolt raceway is cut to the tool diameter, the reamer can be used as a mandrel for centering the receiver in the PTG Action Blueprinting Fixture. Further blueprinting operations can be performed with confidence using this mandrel which is effectively "match machined" to the receiver.

• High Speed Steel construction.
• 2 pilot bushings not included. Use pilot bushings with a .5000" ID, and OD no greater than the cutting diameter of the Bolt Raceway Reamer.

NOTE: All PTG Reamers and Cutting Tools are designed to work with petroleum-based lubricant. Water-based lubricant can give acceptable results, however the life of the tool will be reduced. For best results use petroleum-based lubricant.
